In case you're new here...

Welcome to my LiveJournal. I'm a science fiction writer with a growing collection of published short stories, and my collection Unwelcome Bodies is currently available from Apex Publications. It includes, among other stories, "Captive Girl," which was a 2007 Nebula finalist and which made the 2007 Gaylactic Spectrum Awards short list. I started this journal to have a place to talk about writing and the writing life, although you'll probably notice various digressions into belly dance and politics.

I forgot to reload my Tracfone, and I fear it might have turned into a brick. I've been thinking about getting a real cell phone for a while now, and if it turns out that I can't reactivate this one without a fee, then I might be getting it sooner than I anticipated.
So, what I'd like to know from my fellow Massholes with cell phones is this - who do you use as your cell provider, and how good is their coverage? I'd rather not lock myself into a service which then socks me with all sort of roming charges as I use my phone all over the state. (As tempted as I am to just get a Working Assets phone, I believe that Sprint has crappy coverage in Massachusetts, although that could be old data.)
